Manu Law College proudly celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 by organizing a special yoga camp and awareness program on campus. The event was conducted in line with this year's global theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting the vital role of yoga in fostering physical fitness, mental wellness, and a balanced lifestyle.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff, who gathered to embrace the timeless practice of yoga. Participants engaged in a guided session featuring various yoga postures, pranayama techniques, and meditation exercises aimed at enhancing overall health and well-being.
During the session, the benefits of several important yogic practices, including Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Anulom-Vilom, and Kapalbhati, were explained in detail. Attendees were educated about how these practices contribute to improved concentration, stress management, physical flexibility, and emotional stability.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Akhileshwar Rai emphasized the importance of yoga in managing stress and maintaining mental resilience. Speaking particularly to law students, he noted that the demanding nature of legal studies and the legal profession makes it essential to adopt yoga as a daily practice for maintaining focus, balance, and emotional well-being.
In his address, Director Dr. Dinesh Kumar Singh remarked, “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Mental concentration, patience, and clarity are indispensable qualities for future lawyers and legal professionals, and yoga serves as an effective means to cultivate these attributes.”
At the conclusion of the program, all participants pledged to dedicate at least 20 minutes each day to yoga in order to improve their physical and mental health and lead a more disciplined and balanced life.
The successful organization of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of the College Management Committee, faculty members, and Vice Principal Dr. Rudresh Kumar, whose valuable contributions played a significant role in making the celebration meaningful and impactful.
The event reaffirmed Manu Law College’s commitment to promoting holistic development, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle among its students and academic community.
