Manu Law College celebrated 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the college campus. The flag-hoisting ceremony was held in the presence of College Manager, Mrs. Urmila Singh, with retired judge Mr. Vijay Prakash Mishra as the Chief Guest, who unfurled the National Flag.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tribute before Maa Saraswati by the College Manager and Director. Students presented a welcome song and Saraswati Vandana, creating a respectful and inspiring atmosphere.
Addressing the gathering, Director Dr. Dinesh Kumar Singh highlighted the significance of Independence Day and encouraged students to pursue legal education with dedication and become self-reliant and responsible citizens. Under his leadership, all those present also took a pledge for national unity.
Chief Guest, Mr. Vijay Prakash Mishra, in his address, encouraged the students to embrace the values enshrined in the Constitution and contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.
Following the welcome address by Principal Dr. Akhileshwar Rai, Vice Principal Dr. Rudresh Kumar spoke about the historical background and significance of Independence Day. Other Assistant Professors and students also shared their thoughts on the occasion.
The programme was attended by students, faculty members, and staff of Manu Law College. The event was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Arun Kumar Tiwari and Ms. Aruna Mishra.
The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism, national unity, and commitment towards the values of the Constitution and the responsibilities of citizens.
