Law programs offered and their eligibility criteria

1 B.A. LL.B. (Five Year) Integrated Course (10+2) Passed in any stream from any recognized board/university with minimum 45% marks for General, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST.
2 LL.B. (Three Year) Law Degree Three Year Bachelor Degree in any stream from any recognized university with minimum 45% marks for General, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST.

Age Limit

Since 2014, no age bar applies for admission to the LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. (Five Year Integrated) programs, subject to fulfilling other eligibility requirements.

Attendance

Students enrolled in the LL.B. or B.A. LL.B. programs must attend a minimum of 75% of classes, including Moot Court Exercises, Tutorials, and Practicals combined, to be eligible for the end semester examination.

Dress Code for Students

The college abides by relevant UGC and Bar Council of India rules as amended from time to time.

Identity Card

Every student will be issued an Identity Card which must be carried at all times and shown on demand to college authorities.

Legal Awareness and Personality Development Programmes

Students are actively encouraged to participate in spreading legal literacy through seminars, debates, quiz contests, and other events regularly held at the college and other venues.

The college aims to mold students into confident, ideal modern lawyers ready to meet all challenges and uphold their respectable place in society.

Attendance Rules

  1. Students must attend classes regularly throughout the semester.
  2. Continuous absence exceeding 15 days from admission or start of teaching will lead to forfeiture of admission and all fees except refundable ones.
  3. Absconding and habitual absence may result in disciplinary actions including suspension or removal from college.
  4. Shortage of attendance is handled strictly as per Siddharth University and Bar Council of India regulations.
  5. Regular attendance notifications are sent to parents twice a month if attendance is short.
  6. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory for sitting in semester exams; those falling short may be debarred by the university.

Legal Aid Clinic

Manu Law College runs a Legal Aid Clinic to serve the local community. Students visit rural areas to promote legal literacy among the needy and underprivileged.

Restriction on Dual Registration

Students cannot simultaneously register for a law degree program and any other graduate or postgraduate program at Siddharth University or any other institution. Reservation and weightage follow university rules.

Rules of Discipline

  1. All admissions are provisional and subject to approval by Siddharth University, Kapilvastu.
  2. The college reserves the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason.
  3. The Principal has full authority to maintain discipline.
  4. Students must adhere strictly to the prescribed uniform code.
  5. Students must maintain decorum in classrooms and may not leave without teacher permission.
  6. Vehicle parking is permitted only in designated stands.
  7. Smoking and usage of intoxicants are strictly prohibited on campus.
  8. Penalties including fines, suspension, or withholding certificates may be imposed for discipline breaches.
  9. Fees once paid are non-refundable.
  10. Ragging and harassment are punishable offences following Supreme Court guidelines.
  11. Attendance at academic and extracurricular activities is mandatory; violations may lead to penalties.
  12. Admissions require submission of prescribed application forms.
  13. Students must comply with all directives from BCI and Siddharth University.
  14. Strict adherence to uniform and ID card wearing is enforced.
  15. Conditions for backlog exams follow university rules.
  16. Misconduct may lead to admission cancellation without notice.
  17. Discipline includes respectful behavior inside and outside campus; violations may result in suspension or expulsion.
  18. Students are responsible for regularly checking notices.
  19. Fee payment deadlines must be observed; late fees apply otherwise.

Note: The Principal reserves the right to cancel admissions for indiscipline after serving notice to guardians.

Refreshment Centre

A refreshment centre is available within the campus, providing students with a place to relax and enjoy quality food.

Conveyance (Proposed)

Proposed transportation services include fleet buses covering various routes from surrounding areas like Partawal, Nautanwa, Khadda, and neighboring towns, operating within a 100 km radius.

Hostel Facility (Proposed)

Separate hostels for boys and girls with spacious, well-furnished rooms and attached washrooms will be available to students at nominal charges. Strict discipline is maintained within hostels, with frequent monitoring to protect students from adverse influences.

Free English Speaking Course

The college offers free English speaking courses led by dedicated and experienced faculty to enhance students' communication skills and employability.

Medium of Instruction

Instruction is offered in both Hindi and English, with students having the option to appear for examinations in either language, per Siddharth University guidelines.
